Prayer
How can you best support the ministries of The Christian Center? Pray! We depend on friends like you to pray for us and for the programs that we provide. Please pray for:
- Changed lives and hearts of the young people who participate in Christian Center activities.
- The staff and volunteers of The Center, their walk with the Lord and their work at The Center.
- God’s protection and safety, especially at all the athletic events.
- God’s provision for financial needs and staff/volunteer needs.
- Wisdom, direction, and discernment for the Board of Directors and General Committee, and decisions they make concerning the future of The Christian Center

Volunteers
Volunteers play a big part in the success of the ministries of The Christian Center. There are many opportunities to serve the Lord with your time and talents. Here are just a few of the ways the Body of Christ works together to reach more kids in the Peoria area:
- Help with mailings
- Serve on a committee for an event such as the Father/Daughter Purity Ball
- Help in the concession stand
- Coach a baseball, soccer, or basketball team
- Volunteer at the Baseball Carnival
- Provide other specialized skills (electrical work, plumbing, computers, etc.)

How we are funded
The Christian Center is a non-profit organization that depends on donations to keep its doors open and ministries running. Less than half of the income that supports our budget comes from registration fees and sales income. Most of our needs are met by individual donors, businesses, and churches through one-time gifts, Project Gideon (monthly donors), sponsorships, and fundraising projects such as the Golf Outing, youth fundraisers, and the Bowl-a-thon. Project Gideon
Project Gideon is an opportunity to invest regularly in The Christian Center. Your monthly gifts provide the funds that are needed to keep The Center running and allow us to keep our registration fees affordable and to offer scholarships to those who need them. With a gift of $35.00 or more each month, your family’s sports registration fees will be waived.

from your bank account or charge your credit card automatically each month. Please let us know if
you prefer this option.
Sponsor a team or event
The Christian Center is blessed with many sponsors who provide the much-needed funds for our sports programs and special events. For more information on how you can have an impact on many families in the Peoria area by sponsoring a team or event, call The Christian Center at 685-4218.
Golf Outing 2010
The Christian Center hosts a golf outing each May at WeaverRidge Golf Club whose course is rated 2nd in the state in public golf course rankings. This fundraising event is a time of great fun and fellowship, and it is also a great opportunity to share the ministries of The Christian Center with newcomers to the area, friends, and coworkers. The entry fee of $135.00 includes your greens fee, a cart with a Prolink system, unlimited use of the driving range, a lunch buffet, and other gifts and prizes.
